The time has come to ramp back up the cigar reviews. I am getting back to basics and covering cigars every humidor should have in it as old faithful go to cigars. Let’s start this with one of my regular rotation cigars that are quality without breaking the bank and you will never be snickered at for being on the cheap. The Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 Flor Fina. This is a quality cigar that you can enjoy on a daily basis and still have some $$$ left over. The 8-5-8 is an amazing entry level cigar with an enormous amount of flavor for the price. Pre light the draw is easy and a slight hint of cedar. The burn is good but not perfect, the ash tends to drop about every half inch but, I am out walking the dog so that could be my fault. The first third of the cigar is mild and leathery and the smoke is abundant.
A distinct sweetness in the flavor profile begins about halfway through the cigar and really turns up the enjoyment and flavor on retrohale. This cigar needed a few more laps around the block to really enjoy and the dogs didn’t mind.
The price point on the 8-5-8 is fantastic! For the flavor, this cigar should be in the $10 range and that is one of the more appealing qualities that a lot of smokers will be drawn to. Fortunately for anyone who wants to enjoy an 8-5-8 the price is almost half that at around $5.25-$5.75. The complexity is not overwhelming to the novice cigar smoker and can really be defined in a couple of words, “quality smoke”. The first place I look when buying the 8-5-8 is http://www.famous-smoke.com/arturo+fuente+858+cigars/item+7205
Overall, I am giving the Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 Flor Fina “7 Smoke Rings”. The flavor exceeds to price, and the return on investment is huge. Check out this cigar, don’t be deterred thinking the quality isn’t there, it is!
