Four Kicks Robusto

2013-12-21 21.06.21I have been traveling for what has seemed like a month, but in reality on 5 days. We have driven from Seattle to Missouri and not had a chance to post for a few days, but this doesn’t mean I haven’t enjoyed a few great cigars along the way.

I received this “Four Kicks” Robusto from a friend, they are made by and this is one of the first I have had of these. I have smoked the “Headley Grange” line and really enjoy them, enough so that I keep them in my collection.

The wrapper is a Habano Ecuador tobacco and the binder/filler are both Nicaraguan. This cigar had a great woody aroma and the pre light draw was smooth with a slight hint of cedar. The flavors I recognized throughout the entire smoke were hints of almonds and pecans. I have had problems in the past with cigars that are triple capped, but the construction of was great and the wrapper was almost flawless with only a few visible veins.

This cigar was fantastic from start to finish, I paired it with one of my favorite beverages “Jameson’s 12 yr” and the mix of the two managed to keep me toasty on a cool windy damp Missouri night. I am giving this cigar 8 Smoke Rings. There is just something amazing about having a good cigar after a long and somewhat stressful trip.

I would also like to put a plug in here for my new B&M, I paid them a visit today and the owners were fantastic. They are just getting set up and the grand opening is being planned for the spring. If you are in Southwest Missouri, drop by and support  if your planning to have a smoke bring your own beverage and stay awhile.
