The Nica Rustica by Drew Estate, looks and feels like a throwback to old world cigars. The flavor is very modern.
The construction of the Nica Rustica is old skool, rough wrapper with quite a few veins. The foot of the cigar is not well defined and the cap has a slight tail to it. I found the Rustica to have a real earthy aroma and soft feel to it before lighting it.
The massive plumes of dark smoke from this cigar make it very appealing to anyone who wants no mosquitoes near them. The flavor profile is very earth and oaky, and I am not sure if that’s a word but it’s my site and it will be used again.
The burn is decent and only needed an occasional touch up. The draw is very easy and smooth. I have not been a fan of all the Drew Estate lines, but can see myself picking up a few more of these since they are in the $7 price range (half the Ligas).
I am giving this cigar 7 Smoke Rings, light it and enjoy the clouds of smoke. It’s a great cigar for smoke ring practice.
