This Omar Ortez torpedo, was packed full of Nicaraguan flavor. I was given this cigar a few months ago and when I grabbed it from my stash it was still covered in an oily gloss and a little plume. I knew this would be a great cigar for a rainy Seattle afternoon at the cigar bar with my wife and friends.
The Nicaraguan tobacco’s have really taken hold of the cigar industry and its working because of the quality. The Omar Ortez had some great flavors of leather and earthiness and a very smooth finish on a medium to full cigar.
I will give this 7 Smoke Rings, and it could have been an 8 but it started to canoe (uneven burn) about halfway through. Overall, a good smoke with great flavor.
