“I’ve got a great cigar collection – it’s actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn’t going to smoke every last one of ’em.” Ron White.
There are a few things I would like to point out in this review/rant.
First, cigars are tobacco that is grown to be smoked and enjoyed. The finest compliment you can give a cigar maker is that you enjoyed their cigar. I have never purchased a cigar that I didn’t plan to smoke or give to a friend to smoke with me. I enjoy giving them to my friends for their enjoyment maybe more than my own.
Secondly, not all cigars get better with age. There are some that I have encountered that need a few months of humidor time to mellow or even mature but they are rare. I do always let cigars rest after a big shipping trip across the country or even the ocean but that is just to acclimate to the humidor again and then I smoke them.
I found this picture on a Facebook group and the owner is so happy to have collected a line of singles by the Drew Estate company that he will miss out completely for what these were made for. Why waste hours of time gathering these if you are not going to enjoy a few minutes smoking each one.
If you have the time watch a show called “Hoarders”, those people collect and pile up everything. Most are in some way mental and need help, professional help. They keep items to make up missing pieces in their lives or to make themselves feel special. Don’t be that guy, smoke those cigars and enjoy them.
That’s my opinion, the site is mine, and all the cigars I have will be smoked by me or given to friends to smoke with me.
