Tabak Especial by Drew Estate

The Tabak Especial by Drew Estate is not my normal go to cigar, but it’s a refreshing stick for some. I have personally never been an infused cigar fan and really never will be but this was a nice detour to remind me of that.

The label says coffee infused,  I personally didn’t taste coffee.  What I did taste was some sweetener that could have been high fructose corn syrup for all I know. I like my coffee black and bitter and nowhere on the label did it say “drizzled with Foo -40 coffee”.

Now the aroma was like being in a candle store at the mall or the clearance aisle at Bed Bath and Beyond.  The burn was good, the ash held on well (probably from the chemicals sprayed on), and it produced a lot of smoke.

I can see where this type of cigar can be appreciated and maybe even appealing to those who order water with a lemon. I personally will not smoke one of these again. Though I have figured out what Drew Estate does with the bad tobacco……add flavors and sells it.

I am giving this cigar 2 Rainbows because it doesn’t deserve a Smoke Ring. Maybe he would smoke it.

  1. Loved the review, but I still have to try one. Haven’t liked any infused I’ve had but love coffee & maybe this will be the one or maybe Java.

  2. This was the first infused cigar I ever had: purchased for me as a gift. I also didn’t taste any coffee but rather chocolate. I also recommend NOT storing these cigars with other (normal) cigars as whatever it is they put in/on them to give them the chocolate (to me) taste ends up on the other cigars as well.
